The brief was to draw influence from both Brazilian and Birmingham-based visual culture to create a look and feel for the festival that would be vibrant, fun and engaging. this would be then applied to a website, event flyers and posters and an event programme.
The solution was a style of abstract illustrated artwork that could be adapted for top-level festial communications and then experimented with to create different but related event promotions. The design represents many different elements coming together and interacting with each other. Colours were inspired by a range of Brazilian artworks.
