We were tasked with creating a brand for the boldly named, Arts and Craft shop, located in the centre of the city.

We carried out extensive research within Birmingham and other cities, focusing on contemporary retail culture and the city’s heritage. The logotype is based on the lettering on road signs visible around Birmingham and a set of ‘B’ symbols were produced as interchangeable marks.

After creating the logo-type and initial marketing collateral which included; business cards, flyers, posters, t-shirts, internal and external signage, we set about creating a 26 character, upper-case letter set. This was then applied to further materials including a website, hoardings and press advert.
