Screening Rights

Visual Identity, Print Design

Screening Rights is Birmingham’s international festival of social justice film and debate. Films from around the globe are shown with the intention of creating spaces for discussion about pressing issues and learning about how film can educate and move audiences to think, feel and even behave differently.

We worked closely with festival director Dr. Michele Aaron to create a visual identity that reflected the ethos and direction of Screening Rights. The painted mark set under the logotype references handcrafted graphic images, commonly seen in many social justice movements. The identity was then applied to the festivals print collateral which included the festivals program.
